Mohamed Hassan is steadily moving up in United States Fencing Association rankings. He recently completed a competition in Budapest, Hungary.
Mohamed Hassan, just a freshman at Pattonville High School, recently moved up to rank 20th in the nation in fencing. According to the United States Fencing Association, he is qualified to compete in international tournaments, including world cups and world championships. He recently competed in a competition in Budapest, Hungary and in 2011 won the Pan American Youth Championship's Gold Medal in the Y-14 Foil category.

Fresh off her election to a pair of posts in Girls State at the state and national levels, Pattonville High School senior Anjali Fernandes is getting ready for visits to the state capitol and the nation's capitol this month. Girls State is a mock government project designed for young women who have completed their junior years in high school. Fernandes found herself in something of a "constitutional crisis" according to a news release from the Pattonville School district because before her, no one had ever been selected as Missouri Girls State's Governor and a national Senator at the same time Fernandes will address a state convention meeting of the American Legion in Jefferson City on Saturday.
