NLCS: What Time Is Monday's St. Louis Cardinals-San Francisco Giants Game 7?

Get the full schedule on the National League Championship Series and see the results from the first four games.

It all comes down to this.  Despite trailing 3-1 in the series, the San Francisco Giants have won two straight forced a Game 7, at home, in the National League Championship series.  On Monday night at the St. Louis Cardinals will start Kyle Lohse in yet another win-or-go-home game for the Redbirds. The Giants will counter with Matt Cain. The two met up in Game 3 with Lohse picking up the win. The Cardinals didn't hit Cain hard, but a big two-run home run by Matt Carpenter helped St. Louis win 3-1 and take a 2-1 series lead.  If the Cardinals are defeated, it will likely be the last time Lohse, a pending free agent at season's end, wears a St. Louis uniform. The veteran pitcher will likely command a contract the Cardinals are not likely to …

Obama-Romney Presidential Debate: Who Won?

Visitors to Patch's debate viewing parties at Wehrenberg Theatres in St. Charles gave Obama the win while the Des Peres audience gave Romney a slight edge in the second presidential debate on Oct. 16, 2012.

More than 120 people from throughout the St. Louis and St. Charles county areas took advantage of a break in the Cardinals schedule to attend debate viewing parties at two local movie theaters for Wednesday's showdown between GOP candidate Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama. The consensus among viewers at the Wehrenberg St. Charles Stadium 18 Cine put Obama ahead, while watchers at Wehrenberg's Des Peres 14 Cine essentially called the matter a wash, with Romney edging out Obama but just as many declaring neither candidate victorious. In a written survey filled out after the debate, Obama's record was the center of attention for both sides.  One Obama supporter said he won "because he was sincere, calm and followed through with what …

Did You Know Candy Crowley Grew Up In Creve Coeur?

The moderator of the second presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney drew criticism from both campaigns before Tuesday's debate began.

After a presidential debate, there are usually 3 points of view. Candidate A won, Candidate B won and both sides complain about the moderator. In the case of Tuesday's Presidential debate between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney, that criticism actually emerged days ahead of the event on Long Island, in part because CNN's Candy Crowley told the Huffington Post she'd be willing to engage the candidates in addition to letting them engage eachother. Crowley, who hosts CNN's State of The Union Sunday program, grew up in Creve Coeur. She told St. Louis Magazine in 2005, "We lived in Creve Coeur in the ’50s. It was really early on—there were ponds and fields and no Interstate 270." After the debate, she talked with CNN about the …

I thought she was as bad as Jim Lehrer, failing to control the clock resulting in it being the worst debate I've seen, witnessed or participated. Control the clock, you control the participants. Control the participants and the result is their focus on the message to people watching. Media no longer has a backbone. Time for the Debate Commission to seek someone to anchor debates who one that no …   more ›

About 57 people attended the viewing party, sponsored by Patch and FOX2, at the Wehrenberg St. Charles Stadium 18 Cine; another 107 attended the party at Wehrenberg's Des Peres 14 Cine.
