Santa Claus & His Police Pals Spread Christmas Cheer At Mercy Children's Hospital

Creve Coeur Police officers have joined forces with St. Nick in recent years to put smiles on the faces of patients and their families at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

There was no need to consult NORAD's Santa Tracker Thursday about St. Nick's whereabots. All you needed to do was ask the Creve Coeur Police Department where the Elf-In-Chief could be found. Thursday afternoon, with several police officers in tow, Santa Claus went room to room at Mercy Children's Hospital in Creve Coeur, spreading holiday cheer to kids as young as 11 days old. Check out our photo gallery, featuring kids from Chesterfield, O'Fallon, Florissant, Clayton and Kirkwood, among others.

Santa Claus Coming To Creve Coeur Saturday

Santa's Safety Fair will be held at the Creve Coeur Fire Protection District's Station 1.

Santa Claus is a busy man these days, but he'll take a break from Christmas preparations this weekend to make a special trip to Creve Coeur. He'll be at Creve Coeur Fire Station 1 on Olive Boulevard across from CityPlace Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for photos with kids at Santa's Safety Fair. The fire department's event will also include free hot chocolate, fresh cookies and advice on holiday safety tips. Winners of a coloring contest at the fair will get a trip to school in a fire truck. The department is also collecting new and unwrapped toys which will be donated to the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. Don't forget to post photos from the event in our Pics & Clips Gallery!

Santa Makes Early Special Stops In Creve Coeur

Police officers pitch in as elves during a trip Tuesday to Mercy Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.

Santa is gearing up for his official visit to Creve Coeur this coming weekend, but he made a special trip to town Tuesday, with an escort of elves from the Creve Coeur Police department as he visited Mercy Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House next door. The jolly old elf dropped by to see kids who were getting care from as far as Jefferson City and as near as Ballwin. The visit to the hospital was made possible by donations from Creve Coeur Police Department employees as well as their children, who brought gifts to a recent Breakfast with Santa event. The St. Louis Elk Lodge #9 also made a donation to the effort. Once Santa and his crew were done at the hospital, they stopped at the Ronald McDonald House and presented staff …

The Week Ahead In Creve Coeur

The Week Ahead: Special City Council Meeting, Rivalries Renewed and Approaching Holidays

A look at what's going on around Creve Coeur this week.

Welcome to what is traditionally one of the busiest weeks of the year, to be followed by what is traditionally one of the slowest weeks of the year. As always, Creve Coeur Patch is here to document it all, and to be the place where you can share it with your neighbors. Monday night will see a rarity at the Creve Coeur Government Center as the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission will each hold meetings. The council session was called specifically to address financing options for retiring the city's commitment to the Olive-Graeser Transportation Development District or TDD. On Tuesday, Hannukah begins at sundown. We invite you to check out what our resident rabbi had to say about the holiday, and hop you'll feel free to share …
