Cardinals Fans: Be Aware of Ramp Closures Downtown

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for August 2-8.

Ramps closed downtown Cardinals fans heading from the city to westbound Interstate 64 this week should remember that several ramps to westbound I-64 will remain closed until early September. The ramps from Broadway, 10th Street and 14th Street will be closed around the clock. Downtown commuters, to include Cardinal fans, will need to use Pine Street, Jefferson Avenue or Market/Compton to get back onto westbound I-64. Illinois fans coming to the game will be able to use the 9th Street ramp to get into the city from westbound I-64. Earth City Expressway lanes closed Additionally, on I-70 in St. Louis County, one westbound and two eastbound lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. More Resurfacing on I-64 Downtown; Also Lanes Closed on I-70 at Earth City Expressway

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for July 26-August 1.

Westbound I-64 downtown Drivers on westbound Interstate 64 downtown need to be aware of several lane and ramp closures that are scheduled to start as part of the double deck resurfacing project. On Thursday night, crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street at 8 p.m. The detour is to take westbound I-44 to Jefferson and take northbound Jefferson back to westbound I-64. The two right lanes will reopen by 5:30 a.m. Friday. At 10 a.m. Friday, crews will again close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street on the double deck structure. City commuters will be able to access westbound I-64 from Pine Street, Jefferson Avenue or the Market/Compton interchange. The two left …

Traffic Ahead: More Than 100 Work Zones in the St. Louis Area

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for June 14-20.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has more than 100 construction and maintenance work zones planned in the metropolitan area during the next week. MoDOT asks drivers to slow down and be aware in work zones. From downtown St. Louis to Franklin County, MoDOT crews and contractors are taking advantage of the good weather to make progress on major construction projects. This includes such as widening Interstate 270 between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, and the I-44 pavement reconstruction between Lewis Road and Route 141. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Traffic Ahead: All Westbound I-64 Lanes to Close in Downtown St. Louis Friday Night

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for June 7-13.

Westbound I-64 closed downtown Friday night The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all westbound Interstate 64 lanes from the Poplar Street Bridge to Jefferson at 8:30 p.m., Friday after the Cardinals game begins. The 10th Street and 14th Street ramps to westbound I-64 will remain open. Motorists should use I-44 and Jefferson as a detour. Crews will open one lane at 6 a.m., Saturday, with a second lane open before noon. The far left lane on westbound I-64 will remain closed after noon. Traffic will be on the two right lanes, separated by concrete barriers. Traffic Ahead: I-270 Preparation Work to Begin, No Problems for Weekend Events

Missouri Department of Transportation crews have plenty of work scheduled during the next week but none of it will keep motorists from the Cardinals opening day on Friday or the Go! St. Louis Marathon on Sunday.

  There will be lots of activity on Interstate 270 next week as crews make pavement repairs then narrow lanes and install barrier to begin work to add a northbound lane between Interstate 44 and Manchester Road.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday crews will close up to three lanes of northbound I-270 from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. in this area. Additionally, Sunday and Monday, crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-270 off-ramp at Manchester to make pavement repairs. One lane will remain open on the ramp. The work is scheduled Sunday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Monday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Maintenance crews continue taking advantage of the warm temperatures for striping, bridge flushing and pothole repairs. Traffic Ahead: Another Construction-Free Weekend

Along with the MoDOT report, MADD has some advice for what to do if you see a drunk driver.

This week, considering the New Year's Eve parties coming Saturday night, Traffic Troublemakers shares information from Missouri MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) on what to do if you see a drunk driver. Following that is the weekly report from MoDOT. Here's MADD's advice:   Once again, a weekend free of highway work zones The Missouri Department of Transportation will halt all work zones beginning at noon Friday, December 30. Work zones will resume on Tuesday, January 3 at 9 a.m. Traffic will continue to be restricted in areas where there are permanent barriers. Crews may continue to work on sections of roadway closed to the public (such as the Route 141 construction in St. Louis). If required, crews will also close lanes where needed …
