Woman Charged with Altering Prescription
Police said the woman changed the number of tablets in the prescription, which was for a controlled substance.
A woman faces a criminal charge for altering her prescription for a controlled substance at a Creve Coeur pharmacy. Ashley Fortune, 25, of the 3200 block of Parkwood Lane in Maryland Heights, was charged Jan. 7 with fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance. Creve Coeur Police said Fortune changed the number of tablets 45 to 60 on a Suboxone prescription, and presented it to be filled at the CVS pharmacy at 11560 Olive Blvd. Suboxone, or buprenorphine, typically is prescribed to help treat opiate addictions.
