Missouri Electronic Tax Filing System Moving Slow
For the past six days, the website has experienced slowness, which is causing a delay in a confirmation receipt for tax filers.
If you filed your Missouri tax return electronically and haven’t received an electronic receipt for it, don’t worry, it’s OK, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article. The electronic income tax filing system for the Missouri Department of Revenue has slowed down and, in return, filers are receiving late receipt confirmation messages from the state. Per the Missouri Department of Revenue website: "Taxpayers can electronically file from a computer, or by using a tax preparer who is an approved Electronic Return Originator (ERO).
