Missouri Electronic Tax Filing System Moving Slow

For the past six days, the website has experienced slowness, which is causing a delay in a confirmation receipt for tax filers.

If you filed your Missouri tax return electronically and haven’t received an electronic receipt for it, don’t worry, it’s OK, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article. The electronic income tax filing system for the Missouri Department of Revenue has slowed down and, in return, filers are receiving late receipt confirmation messages from the state. Per the Missouri Department of Revenue website: "Taxpayers can electronically file from a computer, or by using a tax preparer who is an approved Electronic Return Originator (ERO). The state return is transmitted to the IRS along with the federal return. When the federal return is accepted, an acknowledgment (electronic confirmation) is sent from the IRS. Identity Theft Concerns Prompt New Missouri Drivers Licenses

The new-look IDs will be available in the St. Louis area next month.

The state of Missouri is giving drivers licenses and nondriver identification cards a facelift. Beginning this month, revenue offices in Central Missouri have started rolling out the new-look cards. Creve Coeur's License Bureau will start processing them January 14. They will also be issued from Olivette's revenue office located at 9652 Olive Blvd. Find a list of Department of Revenue Offices In Missouri The rollout should be completed by April.
