In Case You Missed It: Creve Coeur Middle Schooler Featured On NBC News

Sam Klein's work was profiled in the Sunday "Making A Difference" report.

Sam Klein may be the leader in the clubhouse when it comes to the "What I did over summer vacation" story when class resumes in August at Parkway Northeast Middle School. How many 12 year olds can say they were featured on a network news broadcast? Klein's passion for recycling led to the formation of his own company, resulting in money for charities while at the same time saving space in area landfills. That was enough to get NBC Nightly News interested in the backstory. Here's a link to the report, from NBC's Kevin Tibbles. Creve Coeur Middle Schooler Set For NBC News Profile

Sam Klein will be profiled this weekend on the 'NBC Nightly News' for "Making A Difference".

Parkway Northeast Middle School students might see a familiar face on the NBC Nightly News Saturday or Sunday. Principal Dr. Kim Brandon confirmed that a team from the show was in town recently to interview Sam Klein, a seventh grade student at the Creve Coeur school, for the newscast's "Making a Difference" segment. Klein has a passion for recycling and started his own company, Inkcycle Group. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch profiled Klein's efforts to recycle laser toners, laptops, cell phones and other electronics, and then donating proceeds to charity. The segments, which highlight people doing good things in their communities, typically air toward the end of the newscasts, starting at 5:30 p.m. Keep in mind that "breaking news" or changes…
