Woman Forged, Cashed at Least Five Checks at Creve Coeur Bank, Police Say

Police said the woman forged a Maryland Heights resident's name.

A woman faces criminal charges after forging another person’s names to checks. Crystal Callahan, 33, of the 2000 block of St. Andrews Drive in St. Charles County, was charged Jan. 31 with forgery. Maryland Heights Police said Callahan signed the name of a Maryland Heights resident to five or six checks and cashed them at the U.S. Bank branch at 11655 Olive Blvd. in Creve Coeur between May 6 and May 11, 2011. Creve Coeur Police Blotter: Leaving Without Paying, A Forged Check and More

The following incidents were reported by the Creve Coeur Police Department during the week of December 19, 2011. 12/20/2011 Police responded to TGI Friday's for a larceny report. It appears several subjects left without paying for their food in the amount of $107. 12/22/2011 Police responded to US Bank in regards to a subject passing a forged check. Officers arrested the subject without incident. The subject was released pending a warrant application through the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office at a later date. A resident of 10 block of Sona Lane reported her home was burglarized. Unknown subjects pried a rear door and removed a TV, lap top computer and cash.
