About David

I have been a Creve Coeur resident for 37 years.

I am originally from Blytheville, Arkansas and first moved to the St. Louis area in the early 1960’s to attend school at Washington University.

I earned a B.S in Chemical Engineering from Washington University. He later obtained a MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from St. Louis University.

During school and after graduation, I spent 29 years working for Monsanto, starting as a research assistant. Promotions included design engineer, project manager, strategic planner, financial manager ultimately reaching the position of Director of Corporate Finance before retiring in 1995.

Today, I am President of GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply which I co-founded In the early 1980′s, The company originally operated equipment and supply stores at Strike ‘N Spare Lanes and several other bowling centers in the St. Louis area.

I acquired full ownership after GRAN PRIX was divided into separate retail and wholesale companies in 1991.

The company moved from Overland to Creve Coeur in 2000 to its present 61,000 square foot office and warehouse at 1248 Andes Blvd. in the Lindbergh-Warson Industrial Park

GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply is a member of the Creve Coeur- Olivette Chamber of Commerce.

I have been married 40 years to Patricia (Williamson) Caldwell, She earned a B.S. of Business Administration degree from Washington University and later an MBA from St. Louis University.

Patricia was employed as a Certified Public Accountant  at Touche Ross, & Company, was Division Controller at Mallinckrodt Co., a Corporate Controller at Bunzl USA located in Creve Coeur until 1991 when she joined GRAN PRIX Bowling Supply.

As editor of www.crevecoeurvoter.com and now candidate for Creve Coeur City Council Ward 1, I have never been related or affiliated, past or present, to any public office holder, developer, or person doing business with the City of Creve Coeur.
