At Long Last, Ray's Donuts Opens In Creve Coeur

The shop, which relocated from Olivette, opened its doors Tuesday morning.

Monday afternoon, after it became a certainty that Ray's Donuts would finally, at long last, for sure, be open for business in Creve Coeur's Shoppes at Westgate Tuesday morning, manager Felicia Robinson she set up some signs, changed the store's voicemail greeting, and then hoped people would show up the next morning.

They did.

"Thank God they stuck with us," Robinson said of customers as she tended the counter Tuesday morning. She said some of those who paid a visit on the first day were loyal customers from the shop's former home in Olivette.

A Brentwood store remains open.

A soft opening was first planned for late September, until issues with permits and inspections, among other issues, forced a delay.

"I'm just glad we're open and we can sell some doughnuts," Robinson said Tuesday.
